Privacy — the short truth first.

You can use everything here without registering. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.

What you tap in the questionnaire is processed only in your browser and is sent neither to us nor to Plausible. It only lives in the memory of the open page: reloading, closing or “Quick exit” wipes it.

No cookies. So that the emergency numbers are there even without a connection, your browser keeps an offline store (service worker). It holds only the emergency page in all 12 languages, plus the files it needs to display (fonts, styling, program code). Other pages you open and your answers are not stored there. Anyone using your device can at most see that hülf:me was opened once — not what you looked at. Your browsing history is separate from this. The store never leaves your device; you remove it with “Clear cookies and site data”.

The site is delivered by Vercel Inc. (440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA). With every request, Vercel processes technically necessary data: IP address, time, requested address, browser and device type. This is needed to send you the page and to fend off attacks. Vercel runs servers around the world; your request may also be processed in the USA. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR). How long Vercel keeps these server logs is decided by Vercel; we only look at them when fixing errors and do not store them anywhere else.

We count with Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia). The data stays in the EU. Plausible sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses. From IP address and browser it only calculates a daily identifier whose key is deleted after 24 hours — so nobody can recognise you across days, not even us. We only see totals, e.g. “100 visits to the emergency page”. The totals are kept as long as we use Plausible, but they belong to no person.

Page views: which page, which page you came from, country, device type, browser. Tapping a service in the results (tuer_klick), calling (tel_klick) and “Open website” (web_klick) — with the type of page (e.g. results, detail page), the service’s ID and, in the results, its position in the list. For numbers that don’t belong to a service (e.g. on the emergency page), the number is counted — but not in the results: there an emergency call only counts as “emergency call”, and a call under “Doesn’t fit?” only as “doesn’t fit”. In the questionnaire: started (flow_start), results shown (ergebnis_gesehen), something under “Doesn’t fit?” tapped (keine_passt) — each only with the language of the page, without your answers. Clicks on links to other websites (which address). Never counted: your answers, your age, free text, your name.

Hosting and counting are based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): keeping the site secure and available, and understanding whether hülf:me gets people to the right service — without anyone becoming identifiable. There are no recipients other than Vercel and Plausible. We sell nothing and pass nothing on.

The “Quick exit” button (or the Esc key) instantly opens wetter.at and replaces this page’s entry in the back history. Pages you looked at before still remain in your browsing history, though. On shared devices, private mode helps — or clear your history afterwards.

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Because we store no names, accounts or IP addresses, we usually cannot link data to a person (Art. 11 GDPR) — but you can always ask: kontakt@huelf.me. You can lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.
